Overall, this is a good camera, especially for taking pictures outside. The pros are that it is small and easy to transport; battery life is good; it does a great job in macro mode if using a tripod; it produces beautiful, rich colors; screen is a nice size; and the video camera works better than expected. Cons are that it is difficult to hold steady and thus, photos are often blurry (unless a tripod/monopod is used): this is most definitely my biggest complaint. It does not have a battery indicator that shows how much battery life is left. The indicator will appear once and show the battery to be about half used but you can easily be caught by surprise since there is no other warning before the battery is completely exhausted. If you are in a situation where you cannot use a flash inside and the lighting is not optimal, it will not take good quality pictures.Read full review
I bought this camera hoping it would beat my old Samsung SL102 and was looking for something worth buying. The best low range camera I could find was this one, so I decided to buy it. All though I was disappointed comparing the picture quality with my Samsung on some indoor photos, it does take pretty impressive pics, and has much better auto features and manual settings (eg. ISO). I can't complain, I overall feel satisfied with the upgrade for the price, it is well worth the money for such an impressive low end camera, but if you're looking for an excellent boost from your old 10 megapixel cam, I suggest saving a bit more and buying a Lumix or Cybershot of 14 megapixel. But if all your looking for is a super compact, fashion friendly point and shoot camera, this Coolpix does the job done and impressively too.Read full review
Very good product for home users. I bought the red one last month. The design is slim , cool, very light and portable( it weighs only 116G!). The quality of pictures is very good, can be printed directly, you don't need to photoshop the photos at all. It saves me a lot of time on using the photoshop software( I am a business seller on ebay, therefore I need to handle a lot of product photos every day) The LCD dispaly is big and clear, can disply pictures very well for checking. Over 6 scene modes to be chosen, esay to use, I found the DC is good at shooting portrait(having the Face-priority AF) and scenery especially. It also has the winking & smile-face recognition function, will remind you if some one had been winked when shooting, very cute! Disadvantage: don't show the power level of battery on LCD display, you will not know how much power left until the last moment when encounting the tip"the battery power has been exhausted" suddenly. Overall, a very good product at a very reasonable price, I like it.Read full review
I bought the Nikon s3000 a few weeks ago and I am very pleased with everything the camera had to offer. The pictures are great, and there's so many features to choose from. Everything is simple to understand. Also it has a really long battery life. I use it pretty much a few times a day, I've only had to charge it once and its still going. If you're looking for a good everyday camera without having to spend lots of money, I would recommend this one. Its very stylish and easy to use.
The touch screen is a great feature! There are also many other features to get you the best photo possible like smile timer, face recognition, and different scenes. However, there is no flash when recording a video. The video quality seems good but you must record in good lighting. Nice slim camera and easy to use. Will recommend for anyone who wants good pictures no matter where you are.
