Excellent service, great lens. I use it with Nikon D810 camera and results are stunning. Perfect portrait lens. Bokeh is neutral, but I really like it. Picture quality is outstanding.

Really good lens ideal for portraiture. Great image quality with either FX or DX formatted cameras, definitely worth the money and a great addition to my camera bag.

Fast focus, beautiful colour and bokeh. Light weight, but not weak material. This lens are more than perfect. You have to try out one of them!

Every one uses slow zooms these days and so f5.6 is common at this focal length but images have an entirely different feel if you shoot at f3.5, f2 or even f1.8. At 85mm f1.8 your depth of field is really thin if you are doing portraits - only one eye in focus at a time but loads of creative potential. Nice on DX but better on FX. The alternative for the same job would be a pro fixed aperture f2.8 zoom (gold banded Nikkor) which would be much much heavier on the shoulder and on the purse. I don't own the 'D' version which is only slightly different from the non 'D' version in that it doesn't communicate distance info to the camera and so on camera flash isn't so good but you'd be mad to use on camera flash with this beauty. Get back to your kit zoom immediately! 'G' version is slightly better apparently but a second hand one of these costs less than half a new 'G' version.Read full review
I have had this lens before so I knew what to expect, excellent construction quality and performance.
