At a fraction of the price of many smartphones that offer the same features, this phone punches above it's weight. The windows 8 interface is easy and instinctive to navigate and easily handles messages, emails and all the everyday things todays phones do. The camera has some nice options for those wanting a bit more than a point and shoot and the HD video is a bonus too. But why this phone does not have a selfie function is a mystery, given that is now a standard for all smartphones. So if selfies matter, this is not the phone for you. Other things to like are Cortana, a voice activation app that actually works and a GPS navigator that also works perfectly and looks good too. There are also a good range of apps on offer from the microsoft store, many of which are free and whilst the windows OS may not yet be a serious contender for those apps only serving android and iphone, this will I think change in the neear future. My only criticism is that the OS is prone to some bugs. Within four weeks of using the phone, I've had to fix a sound file error that stopped videos and music playing on the phone (after downloading an unrelated app). For someone less tech savvy, navigating their way through software to fix those kinds of things might be too much. So whilst it's not a perfect phone, it still makes an impressive mark and I for one have had no regrets in purchasing this handset. Read full review

Lumia 640LTE is old hat now and has no support and very limited apps. Even certain web pages no longer work that well, if at all but they are rare. That said, it has the basic features that a Self Monitoring And Reporting Technology phone should have. If used for diary, maps, sat-nav, text messages, email, camera and web browsing, it is fine. It stores and plays music and can do so via Bluetooth. It is probably not suited for social media users due to lack of apps and specification but what it does do, it works well enough. There is no USB OTG function but it has a port for memory. The camera and video are ok but not up to latest top spec standards. Microphone and speaker are ok. Call sound quality is good as is reception. Rear cover removes very easily for access to battery and SD card.Read full review

Phone arrived on due date. Unfortunately it was set in what I believe was Finnish making it very difficult to set up. Once set up it works fine, however I don't think it was brand new as there was a phone number written on the user manual and the imei number on the phone is different than the one on the box.

What can I say? I like the phone and at times it does all you ask of it. However, I can't say that about the Operating System. After all it is a windows phone and just about everybody gets some problems with that system. Unfortunately, some problems don't appear to be fixable and MS is not much help. That being the case, I have to use an android phone for some features.
