I replaced my straight blade on my rotary cutter and massively reduced the work needed to cut with pinking shears - most of the time. There is the tendency for one place on the blade not to cut through but not being terribly experienced at rotary cutting that might just be my poor technique, or a less sharp tooth on the blade. The one place it quite reasonably struggles is when cutting denim jeans and the thick side seams. A few rolls back and forth usually do it though. You would need a smaller blade for tight curves, that's no fault of the blade, just a fact of physics. Overall, great I would totally recommend it especially if you're a little experienced at using rotary cutter. I would say start with a straight blade if it's your first rotary cutting attempt. Just because it's easier to move on top of the ruler with the pinking blade. Using this has reduced the need over-sewing cut edges and fraying in many situations. Can't promise no fraying on garments but works for the recycled patchwork I do. Plus increased accuracy compared to my hand cutting on long straight lines. Very very pleased I bought it even though I have pinking shears too. Read full review

Cuts well and is easy to use. My hands hurt when using scissors. However, with the rotary pinking cutter there is no pressure on my fingers, hence no pain. I have only used the pinking blade a few times but so far, so good. I am very happy with the blade.

An excellent piece of kit. Much easier than using pinking shears when you want that pinked edge. Easy to insert into the Olfa cutter and as easy to use as a plain blade. A real time saver compared with scissors.

I had been tasked at making 30 dresses for a drama presentation. These helped enormously with cutting the facings and saved overlooking edges. Saved so much time. Easy to use and as with the other olfa products great quality.

These do the job brilliantly - but I am always horrified at how expensive they are, especially as they don't last very long. Sadly, it's worth buying branded versions, as I've yet to find a cheap one that works well.
