I have had, no suffered using Canon's rubbish and have gone back to using Olympus, its been the 2nd best move in my photography career (1st was buying a OM-2n) this lens is brillent, its light and compact and has a lovely feel to it. The movement is tight with no slogger (not like the Canon that was slack) Picture quality is brillent, theres no chromatic abberation (zoom in to the edge of your pics and look for false colour) no noticable barrel distoration/pin cushion. Filters do not intrude. I got the silver bodied version and it looks really great on my PEN. On the Micro Four Thirds its working as a 80-300 mm lens. One thing I like doing is taking pictures of helicopters at my place of work and the detail is amazing from such a small light peice of kit. Who wants to lug a 'club' about? I used this lens at a air museum to get detail and used the flash! it works! It cetainly beats modern Tamron kit but is challenged by 'old' 1980's Tamron lenses but it beats them with auto focus. I would certainly with out question recommened this lens and a friend did buy one. I would also buy another in the Olympus range. Go Olympus Go!Read full review
I purchased this lens for my Olympus E-500 as my primary zoom and find it to be an excellent buy. Its easy to use and great quality.
I am still amazed every time I use this cheap little marvel. The quality it produces belies its price.
