This particular lens was introduced in 2004 by Olympus as part of their pro. series four thirds lens line up. It's beautifully built, weathersealed and uses ED glass to boost performance etc. The condition of this particular purchase is superb. I've used it with my E-3 and OMD cameras (the latter with a converter) and the results are sheer perfection. Fortunately, I've never suffered from pixel count obsessional parlysis and happy to judge images as images as opposed to electronically generated examination projects etc. This lens is a delight to use and does exactly what it was designed to accomplish. A great buy!!

I bought the wrong type of lens it should be micro four thirds not plain ol four thirds. My stupid mistake so will resell it soon. Don't tell the missis she'd kill me.

Just as described in " New " condition. Used it already on E1, E3, E300 and EM-5 ( with converter ). Sharp as I will ever want. Impressed with fast , accurate focusing, just feels a tad heavy on the EM-5, but not a problem.

The 11-22mm 2.8-3.5 Zuiko digital lens is simply one of the best wide angle lenses I have ever encountered. I have used the legendary 21mm lieca, the 24mm and 35 mm Nikkor F2 lenses, but the four thirds has knocked them, its fast, optically superb and capable of unbelievable sharpness. Its also engineered in a very tough metal and on the E3 and E5 its delicious. Its a beautiful bit of glass. Better than others optically and unlike many others it fits a skylight filter. Functional reliable and comfy, this is simply the best wide angle on the market. However it is only for four thirds camera systems, and you either love them or hate them, but for me this is simply a fantastic bit of glass, and glass always wins any picture argument.......
