Got this to fit my full suspension mtb and take my 3year old round some single-track trails... She loves it Took me some time to fit it in a good position, comfortable seating for her and no feet touching the front tyre.. Made an extra spacer from wood in the end. Would be better if it came with a range of spacers and pads, so you could tailor it to suit any bike.

The concept is great. It allows me to have my 4 year old at the front of the bike (a good place for her weight to be too, she feels safe and loves being there) and my 1 year old in a seat behind. The installation is fiddly, it is much easier with two people doing it and required some strength and patience. My real issue are the foot straps which are barely long enough for my just turned 4 year old to squeeze a trainer wearing foot into. The foot straps are important to stop their feet going too close to the front wheel but the straps are useless. They need to be double the length to fit a foot in comfortably (especially if they're wearing wellies or winter boots) and ideally the strap needs to be adjustable to grow as the child does. It's a real let down and would be a simple fix (we made an extended strap using cable ties). It's an otherwise safe and fun ride for my 4 year old daughter, I'll be intrigued to see if I can still ride with her in front when she is 6 however. Read full review

Once fitted it seems a good product, but fitting was a complete palaver. The designers had clearly though about making an affordable end product and forgot about how to practically put it together. Still early days in my use, so will be carrying a few extra tools around with me in case there are shake down issues. A friend of mine purchased a similar product which was four times more expensive, but beautifully engineered and considered. Even with its faults, I believe this offers far better value for money. The kids love it, which is the main thing! Review edit - I've since bought myself a more expensive and much better made version of this seat. The "little explorer" one wiggled around a lot on one bike I fitted it to and I managed to loose the rubber wedge which fits between the seat and bike. Sadly on contacting the original manufacturers they don't stock spare parts. So I now have a useless seat. I wish I'd purchased the more expensive one in the first place.Read full review

The seat was really tricky to fit - parts had to be undone that came bolted together, in order to fit it properly. It took us at least two hours! However, it seems to be good quality and hasn't slipped in use or come undone. I think there are just a couple of changes needed to the manufacturing process to allow it to fit as per the instructions. My daughter loves it and although she's a heavy, tall nearly 3 year old she fits well on it and I am able to cycle with her without any problems (even though I'm not the most confident of cyclists). We ordered it to go on my husband's bike but he is 6ft 5 and has a very big bike and the distance between the cross bar and lower bar were too big for the seat to fit. It fits OK on my bike, despite me having a sloped cross bar. The supplier sent it out quickly and it was well packaged.Read full review

This is a great little seat that is a great follow on from the rear mounted option for smaller kids. Pros. Much easier to chat and talk about road safety. They feel nice and close and it’s much less rattly when not in use than rear mounted seats Cons. This will, pretty much whatever you do, scratch your bike in some way. It also gets in the way a little when they are not on the bike. I find the inside of my knee can knock it. But I’m 5’3’ and have a small framed bike.
