This is a much lower-budget car mechanic's guide than the ubiquitous Haynes for the same model range. It has a different approach, covers just the main mechanical parts (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension...) and has a good contents list but no index. Line diagrams throughout: no murky grey photographs. I bought this book because I often get frustrated by Haynes, and I want a second opinion. It's good for that, for the parts of the car it covers. It's not an alternative: if you need to change an instrument panel bulb or clean up an electric door lock, for example, you'll need Haynes. The paperback size is good, but the print is small and the layout is cramped. Get it second hand/used: I bought a brand-new copy last year, but the print was too smudged to be legible -- sent that one back.Read full review
