Really easy to install and set up. It's way easier than the hardwired ring floodlight cam to install, no electrical knowledge needed. Just plug it in and mount it to the wall. The cord is really long to get you to the nearest outlet. I definitely recommend the wired option versus the battery option, no need to charge it and the motion settings features are waaayy better. Brilliant but with a damning fault.........
The plug doesn't come off and the other end of the wire goes straight into the back of the camera with no jack plug so how can it be fitted outside and plugged in inside? I'm mystified. Who has an outside socket? At this price, I dare not cut the wire, which would invalidate the guarantee and would make it unreturnable. If anyone has an answer I'd be pleased to hear it. suprised opening the box what a good quality feel this item has. checking throught the box everything you could hope for is supplied again with the same quality feel. particularly impressed with the spirtit level built into the back mounting plate and the quality of the tools and accesories supplied. easy fit, drill the wall then cut off the excess cable and theres plenty supplied, rewire the plug when adjusted to the length you need then scan the unit and your ready to go. we bought to cover the garden on an extended holiday and what piece of mind it gives. all the functions you could want and need. well done ring...Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

It just works
The product is typical Ring, plug it in, follow the instructions and it works! I have four devices and they all work well. Only issue I personally find, the Ring app snd platform does not seem to run smoothly when one is running a VPN.
