Streaming experience improved beyond expectations
Every review which says easy set up is true. Roku seem to have thought of everything, even for our old, not smart at all tv! Intuitive to use even for my other half who still struggles with a laptop. Even logging in to all our streaming apps was simple. Streamlined interface and remote controls, nothing there to mind boggle anyone. The plus was that it even improved the quality of the picture, as well as the sound which was expected with that great sound box. Punches well above its weight
I bought to for my kitchen tv to use BBC sounds - cheaper than buying a descent radio. Excellent and clear sound even while the kettle is on. Roku covers a huge range of apps for streaming including all the majors. Setup was a sod, you have to take off the back of the remote and hold down the tiny button until the led starts blinking when it has connected to the receiver. The on screen help was telling me to change the batteries which were new, ignore it and keep pressing the button. Roku was not giving me UK apps, it ignores your IP address and there is no way to set your country - I gave up and used a new email address from a UK company to eventually get the BBC apps downloaded.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Excellent value, great sound enhancement
This boosted the awful sound coming out of the back of my 34" Samsung telly to an excellent level. Voices are now clear, music has some good bass welly. It's what the telly should have come with - telly with welly. It won't be adequate for a mega room with a wall-sized screen - as you'd expect for this money - but for a smaller room, smaller TV it's amazing value. And the streaming side works well too - much more reliable than my AirPlay speaker for playing music from my iPhone.
