on my jazz basses however, I prefer the lighter 40 - 100 gauge string set. same tone and low end as the heavier 45 -105's but better playability on the slimmer neck profile of the jazz bass. just my preferred way of practice and performance. rehearse on the p bass and the jazz bass feels like its playing itself !

Try these before you get hung up on 'standard' gauges. Great feel as is the case with Swing Bass but they don't shred your fingers so much! Always good vfm. Be mindful as always that if you take them on and off the red wrap on the tapered ends disintegrates. S

To my OCD mind the gauge of these strings seems perfectly balanced. The A string is exactly twice the thickness of the G string and the D string is exactly half the thickness of the E. All the strings are exactly 20 thou different from those above or below. Why do they call it a hybrid gauge when it clearly makes more sense? Anyway typical Rotosound twang with a great feel and perfect gauge!

I have used these strings for years now. My ideal gauge, and never failed me yet. A nice treat for my bass at a great price👍
