I purchased an open box unit and had an unlucky lemon of mass production as one of the brushes ate into the stator of the electric motor. I purchased a new motor assembly for $25 and installed it into the saw & it works great! Overall I am pleased with the saw and the longevity of battery life. As long as your unit has a good electrical motor the saw will work very well.

This saw does a very good job. It is well balanced and easy to use. I have used it for cutting large branches and tree limbs.

I needed a light weight saw for limb cutting this saw does the job very well. It will cut big stuff also but that is best left for gas powered saws. The weight of the big saws wear you out trying to cut small stuff this one you could use all day. Also very quiet perfect for cutting small fire wood without waking the neighbors.

It works I do like the smaller 12 inch Ryobi chainsaw set up better. This one came with 5a battery so it was worth the price. I have a 16 inch Ryobi and it seems to turn about the same RPM

The saw was used and I expected to perform like my gas saws, but first I sharpen the blade before I used it. However, the saw bounced a lot on the wood as it was cutting. The saw is so short, I guess, that it is harder to control. I bought a new chain for it before I used it again, but this did not help it perform any better. I will say this, in favor of the saw, it is ready to go to work quick and will get the job done.
