Had Been used before and was partitioned three times and not formated. Took a while to sort out to get to use it. All new ones bought from sandisk worked first time with one partition. And recognized by computer first time. How reliable only time will tell.

Unworthy and not good, extremely slow
took 6+ hrs to transfer 80 gb. Extremely slow and unreliable. Got heated up inspite of keeping it exposed to window with temperature being 3-5 deg Celcius in UK. Will not recommend this to anyone
