SCART-to-3-coloured-leads connector
I was having a lot of problems losing connection all the time when using SCART-to-SCART leads. I replaced my original lead with a new lead and the problem persisted. I think the SCART connectors on my TV and set-top box are wearing out. This device bypasses the SCART connection on my TV and connects to the three coloured leads instead. I haven't used them much since I bought my TV, so they are in much better condition. The connection is much better now. This device has an in/out switch, which makes it more useful than some of the other similar devices available. Not good for Manhattan Free view boxes

Switchable Scart/ 3RCA adaptor review
This review is for the replacement as the first one I received had an internal connection fault. I am very pleased with this adaptor. It is very well made and has a switch on top so that the power through it can be applied in either direction which makes it very adaptable. I would certainly recommend it to anyone wishing to convert from a Scart to a 3 wire RCA plug connection or vice versa. I am using mine in conjunction with another adaptor lead having 3 plugs on one end and a single triple contact plug supplied with my TV on the other and it works fine.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great Value
I use a lot of these in my job. They are great value and work really well. I use them to take audio from a Sky receiver and put it through an amplifier. A lot of the sites I visit have expensive convertors with optical leads which quite often fail. A handy device for basic television with no sound output connections.
This device was used to connect a Panasonic sound bar which had RCA component phono input to a basic television which had no sound output connections i.e. optical, HDMI Arc, RCA component etc. Providing the television has a Scart connection you connect this device between the television and the soundbar to enhance the sound. Great value, works well
I needed this to connect an old Panasonic PVR to a modern HDTV with no scart socket. I could not get the PVR's other outputs to work so this device enabled me to connect to the TV's RCA inputs. Choose input OR output, simply works.
If you need to use an item which has a SCART analogue output and you need to connect using an RCA (phono) output lead, this will do the trick neatly, though not with input and output simultaneously.
