Been on a Scorpions kick since this has been reissued and bought by me recently. I discovered them with In Trance LP in 1975. Each album was anticipated after that. I wanted the 180 gram version of Taken By Force and the CD with bonus material was a huge plus. I wish they had lyrics on some of the bonus songs as they are great tunes also. The band is talented and veterans at this point and German! Up to this point I don't think there were any German Hard Rock bands yet so this aspect was unique. So here we see European bands start to make serious inroads to the North America shores and shed tour markets, Scorpions rubbing shoulders with other worthy acts such as Judas Priest, UFO, and Rainbow. All competing with AC/DC, Aerosmith, Ted Nugent and Kiss for your attention(and filthy Lucre). This album ranks right up there with Sin After Sin,Let There Be Rock, Draw The Line, Cat Scratch Fever Spectres, ect.Read full review

The CD on it's own was about £10, and the vinyl plus a CD with bonus tracks was a few quid more, so I thought I'd buy my very first "brand new" vinyl for about 40 years! Only played side 1 so far and it sounds good (I've heard mixed reports about the re-pressings for the recent vinyl revival). Good content - getting closer to the streamlined rock that made them massive. CD comes with bonus tracks and I can rip it to my mp3 player, so happy as Larry. Only minor criticism is that there's not much bonus/extras for a 50th anniversary release. But at the price (about £21) I'm pleased.
