Equivalent to only 80w to 100w from the 175w solder gun
The 175w rating does not represent what it will solder. There is a limit to how long the trigger should be pressed (duty cycle). For 'normal' electrical or smaller soldering tasks it makes a great instant heat gun. On larger objects which sink the heat it does not put out enough heat. I have an Antex 80w iron which achieves the same. I have a much older 100w trigger gun iron which is better. Assume an actual performance of 80 to 100w.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
