I was expecting this amp/dac combo to sound good and give out good power, but I was surprised that it clearly outperforms (clarity wise) both my amplifiers that I bought for five and ten times the price! I wasn't sure if 50 watts was going to be enough for my passive Dynaudio monitors with 10" woofers.. but it is plenty. The volume knob goes to 60 and I end up listening at volume 6 to 9, sometimes I even crank it up to eleven, but I am nowhere near the amp's capabilities. Now how to describe the sound.. my newer solid state amplifier sounds good, but this thing sounds even better. I think its simply because its DAC and a digital amplifier in one box. The sound has more resolution. I was thinking it could be psychoachustics playing tricks with me, but every song I put on sounded just different and new sounds came up from the tracks, which didn't really happen when I upgraded my solid state amp. This thing is really good. Only drawback is the lack of headphone output, which I am solving using SMSL M3 and recently I also bought a linepaudio headphone amp to try out as well so the missing headphone output doesn't bother me that much. Oh and it had a very nice remote as well.Read full review

I have one of these in use with a small yamaha sub woofer as a home entertainment amp. Two cheap wharfedale bookshelf speakers and it sounds great. The TV, blu ray and a xudoo x3 mp3 player are all connected . Sound is superb for something so tiny The only criticism is the worse than useless remote control

Purchased this for power up speakers and a subwoofer in the garage. Didn't want to spend too much... Does the job better than i every expected. Good value!

The only annoying downside is that when turned off and the on again, the amp doesn't remember the previously set volume level but defaults to 20.

4 inputs, sub out and sleek remote control. Sound is as expected and with some decent speakers (Mission bookshelf ones in my case) the output is better than my Bose Companion 2.1. Significantly. There are cheaper options but Toslink and USB are basically all you ever really need.
