first time i have used an L Bracket and its fits the nikon d850 very well, can't see any reason why anybody would want or need to spend loads more money on other brands, excellent.

If you are into landscape photography and plan to do panoramic's or changing your aspect from landscape to portrait, then an 'L' plate is a must. These bespoke 'L' brackets are not cheap, but they fit the camera body perfectly allowing you full access to change the battery and also allowing access to the side connections i.e. connecting remote cable release, GPS module etc. They are light weight and well engineered.

I have been using Sunwayfoto Camera L Plates for several years on both my Canon and Nikon cameras. As usual this is well made and still allows access to all the camera ports on the left hand end of the body. Its worth noting that the strain relief adapter for the D850 is quite large so will not fit when the L plate is mounted on the body, however as the left side of the L plate stands off the body some distance it acts as a natural guard so helps to protect from dislodging any cable mounted in the ports. I see this as a 'must have' product to mount the camera on any Arca type tripod head as well as offering extra protection to the bottom and left hand side of the camera.

This is the 3rd bracket I have purchased now for different cameras. It is a great piece of kit, that is well made, robust and does a great job. It fits perfectly to the body of the D850, allowing quick adjustment from landscape to portrait positions with confidence. The Allen key nut is solid and can easily be tightened adequately. Really fills me with confidence that it will not fall off or come loose when in use. Great piece of kit.

It is light, it fits well. The space for cables entering the camera is good. I was a bit sceptical of this at first until I saw that you could slide the whole unit out further after being screwed lightly to the camera. You will most likely need to have cables with right angled connectors as I have with the hdmi port. With straight cable connections, you will not be able to mount the camera in portrait mode I have not used it in anger yet but foresee no problems.
