Got this today I was very pleased that it was Genuine and as I was replacing a broken back cover I thought I may as well replace the battery as well. Came with nearly 70% charge and was a breeze to fit. Replaced the broken back as well now like a brand new phone. So all in all very pleased the product and the seller.

I was very sceptical that this was an original S7 battery manufactured by Samsung. It likely isn't, but a generic battery designed by a Chinese manufacturer to be compatible with the S7 and is said to include safety features like the original S7 battery - 'dual IC protection and overcharging protection'. That said, the battery (though estimated by Accubattery app, as not being fully 3000mAh). It's capacity of 2300mAh - 2600mAh, is better than my worn out original battery. This is an outdated phone, so its very hard to find original Samsung parts. You just got to do with what's available. Tip: Once the new battery is installed, drain it and then fully charge in one go to 100%, this will give your phone (and Accubattery app) a better estimate to it's actual capacity. Don't unplug when charging to 100%, it'll give skewed results. Read full review

It would help if there was a hint that it is the 3mm at the edge of the rear glass that needs heating to get the adhesive strip to lift on a Galaxy S7. None of the tools provided could initially lift the glass back of the phone, it needed a thin steel blade to "start" it. The tools provided were adequate to complete the removal of the cover and strip down the phone. Although the battery is a Samsung made product, the power cable from it is thicker and stiffer than original. Need to take care not to flex it while handling the battery as the thicker flex cables can crack. The phone again has a reasonable battery life, but obviously the water proofing was compromised by removing and replacing the back.

This arrived quickly. I was keen to change my battery as it was going from 100% to 0% in 30 mins. I am a complete novice at changing phone batteries but I looked at you tube videos and I found it a very easy task. All that's needed is patience. Don't spend extra on a heat gun. I used a hot water bottle and a hair dryer it did the job. It works without problems and holds its charge well.

The battery came with a single see through plastic wrap as I guess it was OEM? Pretty straight forward to change following some online guides. I had to order the battery adhesive and back glass adhesive separately, but once I had changed the battery and had it calibrated I appear to get around 20+ hours with my normal usage instead of the 10 hours I was getting with my old battery which had around 750 charge cycles on it.
