Picture ok suffers will pixelation Sound poor and tinny Good looking TV ............................
I bought this TV a while ago when it was about £600 and even then it was a great bargain. I've had it in my living room since I bought it and it has brilliant picture quality. Even when watching normal freeview or Sky you can notice the TV has that little bit of extra quality. Anyone who knows anything about TV's will tell you that at the moment Sony and Samsung have the best ranges out between them, and although this model sits near the bottom of the Samsung range specification wise it still wipes the floor with any other make in a similar price range. I did a lot of research before buying this TV and I read many great reviews about it and I have to say it has never failed to impress anyone I have shown it to, especially when I tell them how much I paid! Its worth doing research! It has a nice 5000:1 contrast ratio (meaning nice bright colours). I have also had my PS3 (aka my Blu-Ray player) hooked up to it for a long time and have started buying a few BluRay discs recently and this TV handles them brilliantly. It is a 720p/1080i TV - so not 1080p but I have to admit I am very impressed with it when watching HD films. 1 bad point about this TV - the sound. It is clear but quiet, I haven't really noticed it much because I don't tend to have it up very loud, but once you hit the 40 mark it doesn't seem to actually get any louder, but then if you wanted it to I would suggest getting a set of speakers for it anyway! So I would highly recommend this TV to anyone thinking of getting a 32" TV for any reason - HD or not! I am only just now thinking that I am going to go full HD and get a 1080p, and because of my experience with this model I am going to stick with Samsung certainly.Read full review
Bought this TV on the strength of the Samsung brand. Good picture and features including built in Freeview. Sound is not great and can easily be bettered with a surround system or better speakers. The downside is a high pitch whistle coming from the power supply unit when the TV is in standby. I discovered from the internet, after purchase, that this was a common problem with Samsung LCD TVs. Will have to keep my fingers crossed that I get some value out of it. Should have done a bit more homework before purchase.
This screen is a blessing to any home! Its beautiful in design and ouzes quality through every menu just as you'd expect a samsung would! A definate buy if you have HD money
I'm giving this one the full marks, the image quality is second to none. I play high def games on mine and find the special 'game mode' really crisps everything up! I do have a minor gripe about the standard speakers but considering the cost of cinema packages and the excellent array of potential sockets on the set (optical included!!!) it hasn't bothered me. All in all, this tv is awesome!
