I bought a 3tb external before from the same brand, and was expecting a power cable needed to power it along with the 3.0 USB cord. I opened the package, took out the rather small, and light hard drive. It also came with a small bag of caramel m&m which was a pleasant surprise. The set up was quick and easy (just plugged it in, powered apparently by USB). I was expecting something large, clunky, and a hassle. But got a new, small and rather sleek hard drive that is so small it can fit in the palm of my hand. WILL DEFINITELY BUY AGAIN

I owned one before but it died from lots of abuse and careless on my part after about a year, since then I've taken care of my products, much like the abuse I gave to my paper shredder, got tired of replacing it due to carelessness on my part. Note treat your techs well and they will treat you well. You might want to (2) of these, since a backup of a backup = peace of mind. That's what I do.

Compact, lightweight, silent, and surprisingly fast, even when using USB 2.0. I needed a backup for my PC laptop and the Seagate Backup Plus is perfect. For the price, I think it's a great value, especially with 5TB of space.
