Sena Bluetooth intercom easy to fit on crash helmet and the headset setup was also easy, works great on a Tomtom Rider sat nav and mobile phone, you have to upgrade the firmware first on the Sena site , the sound is very very good the unit is so light you don't know its there. At the moment cant find anything to complain about would recommend this great headset from Sena.

Having bought new helmet with nice cut outs for earphones I decided to buy the Sena smh5. It's well packaged and looks good. The speakers fitted perfectly and the rest of the assembly was straight forward. The switch and dial are easier than expected to operate with a glove hand! It does everything most would need but I have niggles. The main issue is the sound from the speakers which is not very good , have it turned low it's inaudible and turn it up and it turns to mush and is very tinny, there is a very annoying clicking sound when it's changing between phone and music. I've spoken to Sena and done an update but it's no better. Secondly, if you make a phone call whilst listening to music I have yet to discover the magic button press to activate the music again. Tonight after a phone call, I rode home in silence for 20 minutes only to pull into the garage and the music came on again ! All in all its not a bad set but I wouldn't say great or worth the money, but I have no experience of any others. All though alot cheaper than the kit intended for my particular helmet. Bought this to fit to my Arai helmet and pair up with 2 Shoei neotec2 helmets fitted with SMH10 intercoms. Did this simply and flawlessly. The connection is crystal clear, only cracking and breaking up when the gap between us gets to about 1/2 a mile. Phone, music and TomTom sat nav connection works perfectly too. Volume is great up to 70. Any higher and helmet wind noise becomes an issue. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for an aftermarket intercom system

I haven’t tried this as a comma device between bikes, but as a music/phone/pillion comms system it is brilliant. I paid £100 for a Uclear single-unit system that was awful - the difference when I switched this Sena on for the first time was incredible. You know those pictures you see of dead children who have an op and then hear their mother’s voice for the first time? That. £175 for a dual system - clear, loud, simple to use.

It’s simple to set up and the units come paired to one another. Don’t expect the intercom to work perfectly when you lose line of sight between your bikes, it will crackle a bit but it does help staying in touch. The product is well made and completely waterproof. Nice touch you can listen to music and SatNav via Bluetooth and FM radio. The size of the loudspeakers obviously limits the sound quality. Having said that it’s pretty good. Didn’t try phone calls as I like to stay focused on riding. Good value for money, I recommend with the above mentioned caveats.
