Great value and well designed .. does a great job.
Great for the price versatile and easily manoeuvrable around all the home. I can use the full suction power but partner finds she needs to turn the power right down but it still works efficiently at the lowest level of suction. All round great performance at an excellent price. Mains lead yes but far superior to my last rechargeable one which barely got more than the surface dirt. Bought the genuine shark Stair cleaner / pet hair rotating brush unit off eBay at almost half the price of the dealer unit (paid about £11 ) well worth having as it is not supplied with this model.

Amazing hoover!
We bought this hoover to replace our failing and completely useless cordless vacuum of another brand. I was dreading going back to corded but thank goodness we did - it’s amazing! The suction is so powerful, the amount of dirt sucked up in one carpet clean is just horrifying! It’s so easy to use, the lift-away function is fantastic for cleaning under furniture and up the stairs and it’s performance is second to none. I was so worried about losing the convenience of a cordless but the pros of the shark far outweigh this. It’s a pretty heavy machine but somehow still easy to manoeuvre and the lift-away function negates this for those trickier areas like the stairs. The pipe is long enough to reach our super high ceilings which gets another thumbs up from us and the two little accessory brushes you get are great for cleaning the sofa and just under furniture that sits almost flat to the ground. Highly recommend this vacuum - we love it and it’s worth every penny.

Great piece of intricate kit
This vac is great overall with a few minor tweaks that would make it fantastic. The body is heavy and does pull the full structure forward. It's sturdy enough but it does feel on occasion like it'll topple forward. It's exceptionally quiet when switched on which is very good. The light up front is a quirky positive too. There's so many different functions to it, they will keep you busy getting to grips with them. The on board tools are well designed. The telescopic handle could do with a redesign but it's functional. The hose housing half way up the handle isn't very strong, so it doesn't always keep the hose tamed. The cable length is magic! When clipping the lift away section off, it's a very smooth affair. Getting it back on afterwards is less straight forward. Overall a great machine and we have said we hope it lasts is as long as our previous well known brand did which was 12 years. We don't want much lol

I'm a man
I am a man, vacuumed my carpet with my dyson the day before this arrived, when it arrived I put it together which was straight forward, then vacuumed the same carpet, surprised how the pile looked after, it seemed to lift it and make it look fresh, I was surprised the small container mainly held small dust/grit particle's that the Dyson had left behind, the rubbish container is a bit small but if I vacuumed weekly this would be no issue also it's easy to empty and gives one a break, us men need this, some reviews says it heavy, but it's lighter than my Dyson, plus to be able to separate the unit and do the stairs now has made my Henry redundant, wish I'd bought one long time ago, can not comment on reliability as only just got it. But with a five year warranty how can you go wrong, going to take it up to my sister's for her to have a go, she has three dogs and four cats, I'm sure it will do a good job.

Go for it, best hoover yet.
Much better cleaner than any other previous ones. Carpet, 7yrs, looks like new. Downside, since such a good vacuum, container needs to be a little larger! Didn’t think my house was that dusty! Lift away system makes stair cleaning MUCH better. A little bit heavier than I expected but manoeuvrability more than makes up for that, making it easy to use. Goes under furniture better too than my old excellent model. 5 year guarantee...speaks for itself. A great product....the front light an added bonus.

Good and useful product
After getting to grips with how to release all the different parts of the cleaner I am very pleased with it's versitility, especially for cleaning my stairs where my cats love to lie and leave lots of hair. I do however find it difficult to steer in a straight line!

My new hoover
This is a great hoover, easy to empty, picks up very well, it's slightly bit heavy, wouldn't be a good choice for a pensioner, if they had stairs to climb, but for me it's great
