I have always thought a Kirby vacuum is the best but how wrong was I !!! The Shark Lift-Away is brilliant!! It is very easy to use, easy to empty and has excellent suction power. I cannot believe the amount of dust it is removing from the carpet every time I am using it. I am a little obsessed with vacuuming and have a dog so need to remove his hair from the carpet every 2 days or so. I have been using the Shark for a month and still amazed at the dust removal which the strong brushes and suction are removing from deep within the carpet. The Lift-Away feature and tools also make the Shark easy to use on stairs and difficult spaces. I have back problems but as the Shark Lift's-Away it makes the vacuum nice and light. As you can tell I love this vacuum. So much so I am considering buying a second one to replace the Kirby which I leave upstairs.Read full review

It is really easy to assemble, I had my doubts about it because it is small compared to an older upright. I have a Border Collie who loves to shed, no-matter what time of the year it is. As I have said, I had my doubts, BUT, I am totally amazed with this vacuum cleaner. It has plenty of power and is MUCH lighter than the older uprights. I can not stress enough about this things power. The Only 2 draw backs are, it tends to pull to the left a little, when using the rotating brush, and it is not that easy to empty. All in all, this thing gets an 8 out of 10 from me.

I Have always had a Dyson & I must say I have been converted, this is a lighter model & I was amazed as I had used my Dyson the day before my new Shark arrived & I used this & was blown away on how much dust was still active even though I hoovered one day before. Highly recommend the Shark & no going back to Dyson which is heavier model to manoeuvre. If you have Pets this is an ideal Model to have.
