eBay have asked me to review this product that I purchased. As the item never arrived and I had to ask for my money back, this might prove a little difficult! I can only go on expert reviews and the specs that I have read. I have probably spent somewhere in the region of 50 hours looking for the ideal TV and this appears to be the best in this price bracket. Sony as a brand are one of (if not) the best. Yes, you will pay more, but their products are quality. This slightly older model (been around for a few years and is not made now), seems to be better than the latest that Sony are bringing out and with 100hz, should offer a brilliant picture. There's not much more I can say as I don't own one, but suggest you look online at what others are saying who have purchased the W5500U. There are a few still available, but you have to hunt high and low for a new one!Read full review
I love my new tv... I found it easy to set up and use, the picture is brilliant and the sound is good for an LCD, altho I will put it thru my amp to get a fuller sound. This was the best spec Sony I could get for this price, I particularly wanted one with a 100hz refresh rate, which is called Motionflow by Sony, and sure enough there is little or no pixilation when watching sport or action sequences. The dark colours and blacks are rich and distinctive, and it seems fine to watch from a side angle. It has good connectivity, including USB, so one can connect to a laptop or direct to the Internet although I haven't tried these out yet. Overall a great tv, I bought mine as a return from buybuyltd for £300, it was absolutely fine, a great bargain, I would definitely recommend it.
