Before buying this camera I tried out several of the new mini ones now available with solid state memory etc. which of course are very handy being so small that they can be easily pocketed or put in a handbag. Anything good is still pretty expensive but the main drawback I found was that being so small they were very fiddly to use with their little controls etc. The Handycam is very easy to hold and keep steady and the controls are easy to hand. It is not festooned with all sorts of gimmickry options but has plenty to satisfy most applications. The zoom of 10x is plenty for most uses and then it has 120x digitally which is rarely used. One thing when changing things on the menu it is necessary to push the little wheel and not press on the button which defeated me for awhile although looking at some of the illustrations it does show an arrow to illustrate this. The picture quality is excellent and I cannot see myself changing just to get the latest novelty. The Operating Manual is very thorough and easy to follow to use any of the many options. It is sturdily built so has a nice feel to it and will hopefully last a long time.Read full review
The item it self was in great condtion and the lady i dealt with was kind and considerate. But the thing was when i got home i discovered that the lens cap and remote was missing and the where put down on the E-Bay add as extras. So on the hole the item was great but the extra items that where not there was a bit of a let down.
