Long ago I wanted to get this MD player. And here, thanks to eBay it I got! It is very happy with quality of its production and the most important - high quality music reproduction. Sound pure, transparent. Quality of a MP3 of players is much worse! It is very happy with purchase! Thanks to the last updates of the software of Sonic Stage quickly enough it is possible to convert files of the wave format, a MP3 and also quickly to write down on MD. eBay thanks that turned my desires into reality!
Sony Net MD MZ-N10 Personal MiniDisc Player. Very light device. Very complete remote. Very good autonomy.
Sony have produced the best Minidisc recorder with the N10, which is a special edition to celebrate 10 years after the first MD player. The design and the magnesium casing makes it ultra thin and light. The built in battery on N10 can last over 8 hours and with additional external AA battery, extend to another 8 hours +. But most importantly the sound quality from using Atrac3 (LP2) is far superior than MP3! It is the depth of the sound and clarity of reproducing the audio that beats MP3. Also, it is a recordable format -erase and record, which give you total control of what you want to hear over time. The format is 20 years old and still the best audio recorder and SonicStage is not bad for converting from the PC. In one word LOVE it.
I wanted to upgrade from two mid-range portable MiniDisc recorders to higher-spec machines and bought two excellent items on ebay from respected sellers. This MD will be my main one, in use regularly as both a player and recorder, while the other one is a fine spare. This MD machine looks great, has excellent build quality and sounds great thanks to the acoustic engine software. It's a shame MP3/iPods captured the public imagination as MD is by far the better format, especially in terms of sound reproduction. It's why broadcasters, particularly radio news and sports reporters, use MD rather then iPods. My only real quibble is Sony decided to get rid of the separate line-out plug on these later models, integrating it with the headphones socket, so you have to use the function controls to set it up for recording. A minor point maybe, but it is less convenient and you can't monitor what you're recording. Also, the charging plugs, which have different voltages for different types of machine, all look the same. I can sometimes get confused over which one is for this MD player as opposed to one for my Sony portable CD player as they look identical but have different voltages.Read full review
Sony's 10th Anniversary Edition Mini Disc Player I am a Mini Disc collector, or nutter you might say, and when I received this parcel it was like Christmas. It was everything as described and photographed. But for the slight LCD fade this Sony's 10th Anniversary Edition Mini Disc Player is a perfect example of what Mini Disc entertainment should be. The sound quality is superb. I prefer the Mini Disc sound to the sound of the MP3. It’s like the difference between Vinyl to CD, or is it just me? Along with the 32 mini discs, mini disc stand and holders, this is a fine addition to my collection. broadreeds1988
