Condition-Very good, Tested and working, however the unit does have some sound discrepancies and likely needs some TLC (new belts maybe), speed fluctuates when playing tapes, but overall it sounds OK, just be aware that this is not a perfect unit and needs a bit of touching up to get it perfect. Otherwise it powers on and is working despite the flaws mentioned. Unit is being sold AS IS.

    Vintage Sony Recorder TC-55

    This Sony recorder are veey beautiful in its design and ergonomic in hand. Once you hold it for the first time, you will love it and keep it for long period. It is easy and friendly to use. I love it and actually I will keep it as a memorabilia that this old school gadget was once owned like my father’s.

    More nostalgic than anything. From the days when they didn't check you for recorders or much of anything at concerts. This thing makes good recordings. Over priced, over built. I cut some of my early servicing teeth fixing these.
