The metal is a little flimsy but it does the job, you just have to grip and press carefully to avoid warping, such as with firmer potatoes etc. Ours has warped a little at tension points on the handle but it's still useable and cleans the same way. I think it's more likely to bend than to snap. It is very cheap for what it is though, so I'm not complaining. It's why I bought this rather than a known brand. If you can afford to pay a bit more, say half as much again or double, you can get some decent ones that you know will last. This will still last with careful use. This also makes it very light which may be a plus for some users. I put 'no' for 'would I recommend it?' but that's situational. Would I recommend it in general? No, I'd recommend spending more if you can afford it. Would I recommend it for people like us who need to count the pennies and need the help? Absolutely. Read full review
