Great early journey into Star Wars Extended Univere, wish it was complete!
They made 14 or 15 episodes of this series, this DVD concentrates on 2 story lines from the middle on the series both were originally 4 episodes each - so this is about half of the series. Unfortunately I do not think the rest have been released on DVD! Great taster - wish it was complete though... Also its great to see some parts of these story lines tie in with parts of the prequel trilogy (characters and events may be in the episodes not contained in this DVD). Star Wars Droids - Animated Adventures
Set 15 years before the C3PO and R2D2 meet Luke Skywalker (this places it between episodes 3 and 4), this double feature is two stories made up by amalgamating episodes from an animated series from the mid 1980s. The first story "The Pirates and the Prince" follows the droids and their master Jann Tosh (an animated Luke-type character) as they accidentally rescue a Prince, restore him to power, and then help him defend his planet against the pirate Kybo Ren. This is followed by "Treasure of the Hidden Planet", placing Threepio and Artoo against the Empire as they try to help new master Mungo Baobab (a animated Han Solo-type character) find the precious Roon Stones before the Empire. In both adventures the droids take their usual roles, with C3PO (voiced by Anthony Daniels) as the clumsy ... I have always liked Star Wars and I decided to Buy this DVD. Origanaly it was aired in 1985 and was split into 4 half an hour episodes. But now in the DvD it is a 4 hours of Action-Packed cartoons! There are two Main storie lines. The first is Called "The Pirates and The Prince". As always C-3PO AND R2-D2 have gotten into trouble and decide to put themselves up for auction, but only to be bough by an evil Buisness man called Kleb Zellok. But they are saved by a Teen ager called Jann Tosh (He actully looks like Anakin of EpIII). After defeating Kleb, the wind up saving a Prince and have to get him back home to Tazuman and fight pirates and warlords on the Way! But the next is better! It is about a trader called Mungo Baobab who is in search of Roon Stones with R2 and 3PO. But he's got ... I have always liked Star Wars and I decided to Buy this DVD. (From my personal opinian though, he's got a long way to go to reach the standard of General Veers!) Mungo and the Droids also meet the Beutiful Auren Yomm and explore the mysteries of the Hidden Planed! This is truly a great piece of 80's Cartoon and is for people of all ages! Hope you see it Soon!

I remember seeing the cartoon when i was younger on the television. Just recently i was looking at star wars you tube clips because i love anything to do with star wars or star trek as i always have since i was born. The first star wars film was first released on the year that i was born. Having seen the droids clip on you tube i decided to look on amazon and ebay for the DVD - it was cheaper on ebay so i bid for the DVD and won. I enjoyed both the episodes as it is a double feature film - making it better value i suppose. The cartoons are great and even at 30 years of age i still loved them.
