X58 Greatness
Pros: Great dual X58 board. I had a pair of X5650's laying around and I decided to build a workstation out of them. This board has lots of nice features including IPMI. Cons: No built-in sound. You'll have to add a sound card. The built-in graphics are basic. You'll need to add a graphics card if you want to use this board as a workstation. My biggest complaint is that this board's chipset is only PCIE 1.1 compliant. This translates to SSD speeds being halved unless you install an external card such as a LSI 9212-4i.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Smaller than the X8DTN, but just as powerful for CPU

Great server motherboard.
Full of server features, IPMI works great, lots of expansion for SFP cards and what not. The chipset's heatsink gets REALLY hot so active cooling is most certainly recommended. Fan connectors are auto-detect between 3pins and 4pins PWM but they are all controlled by one single speed setting, which could be a problem if you want some fans to push more air than others.
