I bought this to replace a Culinare one touch that had stopped rotating on tins due to the guide wheel wearing down after not much use. I was a bit dubious about this being "hands free" but it is. Once you locate your can between the guide wheel and a locating pin, the opener holds the can. One press down on the cutting lever and the opener rotates the tin and, once the cutter has completed a full circle it pops back up and stops the motor. You can then lift the lever with the magnet that holds the cut off tin lid, and remove the tin. So simple to use. It is a bit noisier than I would have liked but that's no biggie. It will cut very small tins (I buy those very small tins of pilchards and it holds and cuts them fine), standard baked beans size tins, and larger tins like the ones you get new potatoes in. I can't see me ever needing the bottle opener and I tried the knife sharpener but can't say I noticed much difference in the "sharpness", hence four stars, not five. The power cable is quite short but long enough for where I will be using it. I would definitely recommend this tin opener.Read full review

After using it a few times I have to say it's not as good as my last one I had for a 7 years a different make. It's to fiddly to work to get it to start cutting tin open and 2 tins it wouldn't open due to thicker tins. I'm sorry I wouldn't buy another or recommend to others.

I did my homework and by far this came up best in the price range. I wasn’t disappointed. Anyone with hand mobility difficulties due to arthritis etc this is just the job ....another brand I purchased previously to help me was rubbish hence why I did the homework and got to this one ....I didn’t want to waste more money!

Bit fiddly to locate can in position,if done wrong, high risk of horrible crunching noise and perhaps damage to opener it’s very easy to do by accident!Quieter than my last one, thought sharpener was electric but isn’t! Pricey for what it is TBH
