Excellent iron, researched different brands as we needed to replace our old Rowenta iron. This is better quality than many of the others we found, the ceramic soleplate makes a big difference. It is lightweight, heats quickly, steams up fast, and has a very long cord. Handy when you’re ironing a longer item. We use filtered water to minimize any lime buildup in the water tank. Very pleased with this purchase!

I bought this iron because I deal with fabrics like Velvet, Taffeta and Satin that can get waterspot stains if the iron leaks. This iron advertises that the iron doesn't leak. After using it for two weeks my experience is: Users guide for the iron says it will heat when you plug it in, and the light will go out when iron reaches the right temperature. The light did not go out when the iron heated to the right temperature -- it started to flash. It took many minutes to get to this point even for medium termperatures. When I went to use the iron, water would dribble out of it (and the water level was below the max fill line.) In other words it leaked -- and would do so periodically when I was ironing. In addition to not performing as advertised, there is an engineering flaw (in my opinion) that also causes water to get on the fabric. On this iron the button to push for steam is below the handle -- one must use the finger next to the thumb to push this button. The button to spray water on the fabric is right above that button on top of the handle. To balance the iron's weight when the steam button is pushed the thumb comes down on top of the handle which causes water to spray on the fabric. Even when I was consciously trying to keep my thumb away from the spray button while trying to push the steam button, the tip of my thumb would lightly touch the spray button (not push it all the way down) and that's all it took for the iron to spray water on the fabric. Since I specifically bought this iron to keep water from spotting taffeta, satin and velvet -- that is a big problem. I like the sole plate on this iron -- it glides over fabric easily while the iron is hot. And it does deliver a good burst of steam. These features are better than the iron I was replacing. But -- I am getting water on delicate fabrics much more often -- I tried to be fair on the rating -- but was tempted to rate it one star.Read full review

I have been on a hunt for an iron for quite some time. You are not buying iron every day and my last Rowenta literally feel apart after 9 years of heavy usage. So, i have been looking for Rowenta again but somehow I did not feel comfortable to pay almost 100 bucks for an iron. So, I read reviews about T-Fal and this model in particular. It was also not easy find and Open Box just worked for me. I am using this iron every week and I am happy about it.

This is the nicest, easiest to use, best iron I have ever owned. It works great. I highly recommend it.
