Good locks
The metal locks for the joycon are good value and do their job as intended. The install process is simple enough unscrew the screws on the back of joycon, gently pry the two half's open but be mindful of the ribbon cable , then take the black bar off the side by unscrewing a philips screw, on the black bar where lock is held there's a metal clasp held in via another screw remove this screw and gently pry off the metal clasp now with a pry tool made from plastic then remove the plastic lock but be careful of the spring, place finger over the middle and remove by moving it from the top a screwdriver will help dislodged the lock as theirs a small gap at top and your finger over the middle of the lock will stop the spring from flying across the room Mirror the plastic lock you took out with the metal one exact as left and right locks are different pay attention and make sure you install the right lock for the right joycon The screwdrivers included in kit are rubbish recommend you use your own more high quality ones or buy this sellers iphone repair kit as it comes with everything you need as well as pry tools and are super nice quality and will last and be useful for other jobs in the future The kit for locks is fantastic minus the cheapest of screwdrivers included as the locks themselves are highly quality and work fantastic. Amazing replacement for the plastic joycon brackets
My sons switch joycons started sliding off without the button being pressed and I didn't fancy the hassle of sending it back to Nintendo. Came across this set. By far the best for value and quality. Fixed my switch
They fit perfect and stopped the Joycon slipping off on there own after my son dropped it. They came with extra springs incase they shoot off when the broken part was removed, All the tools needed to do the job and 2 sets of parts so I can do my friend's.
