Main characteristics of goods
 
Every item on mrteak.co.uk will be accompanied with an appropriate description and by a representative image.
 
In some cases the product may vary from the image displayed where the manufacturer has updated the packaging or improved the look of the product without informing us. Also note that colours can vary due to conditions at the time photography, possible natural variations in colour and also the setup and model of your computer monitor.
 
Pricing
 
All prices quoted are in British pounds (£) and include Value Added Tax (VAT). If the price goes up or down in between you placing and receiving your order, we will honour the original price.
 
Ordering and stock availability
 
We aim to display only items that are in stock and which can be dispatched to you quickly. From time to time we may sell out of some lines, in which case we will aim to advise you within the 7-10 day delivery period. If this does occur, you will be given the opportunity to order an alternative or receive a full refund for the full price you paid.
 
Mr Teak makes no representation as to the goods, items, products or services referred to in, or sold from, this website as being available or suitable for use.
 
Damages & shortages
 
It is rare for items to get damaged in transit but accidents can happen and occasionally there may be a packing error resulting in a shortage.
 
It is vital that all orders are checked on delivery and we are notified of any damages or shortages within 48 hours. In these cases it is best to call us to lets us know, but if you do email then ensure that we have acknowledged the email before the time elapses as we cannot take responsibility for non delivery of an email.
 
If it is not possible to check the item at the time of delivery for any reason then please let us know so that we can discuss the risks involved if the item is not being checked. Unfortunately once the 48 hours have elapsed the couriers insurance lapses and claims cannot be made. This is why it is safer to always check items on the day of delivery even if the outer packaging appears to be intact. To speed the process up we may on occasion ask for images of the damage.
 
Cancellation
 
Orders can be cancelled by emailing sales@mrteak.co.uk stating the order reference. Credit / Debit cards will be refunded within 5 working days. If an order has been dispatched and the cancellation is due to the item no longer being required then it will be your responsibility to return the item or to cover the cost of the courier returning the item to us.
 
In the instance of a faulty product we will arrange to exchange the item for a replacement of the same model. We may however need to determine the cause of the fault and the exchange would depend on the nature of the item / fault and the conditions of the manufacturers warranty. To speed the process up we may on occasion ask for images of the fault, if it is a visible problem.
 
Please note that if one or more items are returned for a refund and the remaining items on the order would have incurred a delivery charge then this charge will need to be deducted from the refund value.
 
Guarantee
 
This gurantee exludes damage resulting from accident, alteration, misuse, abuse or normal weathering.
 
Warranties
 
We aim to deliver goods of the highest quality. Where the Goods are products we warrant that they will meet their specification.

Mr Teak reserves the right ot remove, modify or change, without notice, any information on this website from time to time. Didn't receive the item despite being provided with a tracking order. Then being told they didn't send it and I would be sent one when the next batch arrived. I still didn't receive that either and have now been told they did originally send it out and it has a 30 day dispatch. They dispatched via TNT Australia! despite them being based in Wigan and me near Liverpool. Poor service, poor communication. Refund requested but not yet processed. Do not use this seller.

    Lovely

    Have had this bench in my yard for a month now after buying it and it's lovely. Coated it with a layer of oil which was absorbed well by the wood (did darken the appearance slightly) but it is protected against the elements so it's good. It's sturdy, comfortable and lovely to look at! Excellent value for money. Excellent delivery (tho I would have liked to have know when it was due rather than the man just turn up). Like it so much we bought a matching table and seat sponge to match!!!!

    nice but does not fit properly

    the bench arrived on time and well packaged I t looks good but however struggling to put it together as the dovetails joints don't fit on the back side. And yes i did follow the instructions in order and yes I did match the letters, So it will need chiselling to hopefully make it fit!

    Amazing

    It's beautiful, and was very easy to assemble. Other versions of this on sale were much more expensive. The wood has a lovely colour and texture.

    Surpassed Expectations

    Superb product. Beautifully finished. As one of my favourite architect/designers I have longed to own a Lutyens inspired bench. An unexpected windfall allowed me to make the dream come true. Now I am aware there have been some grumbles about the little bit of assembly that is required and may I suggest that it is made more straightforward with patience. How hard can it be if a lightweight like me managed a perfect result?
