    Tracker

This is a good bit of kit , im still learning its functions at moment, it does work great . The only issue is that the magnets arnt that strong & ther is only 2 of them . The instructions are slightly hard to grasp but ive found a site on the internet which explains how to use the functions better, there appears to be alot of commands which can be used which are not on the instructions that came with the device but not sure if all of them work or ive typed them i wrong!? Anyway still a bargain for a device that could potentially save your property & or find your missing family etc. I might purchase another one.

Great GPS BUT let down by VERY poor battery life

Whilst the idea of the GPS tracker is great, this is wholly let down by totally inadequate battery life. The maximum the battery will last is 3 hours. The GPS unit is pretty straightforward to set up by sending the unit commands. You can set it up easily to give location via "pings" from a smart phone which will return a location, speed etc. Its more complex to set up for true tracking, with a degree of IT knowledge required together with a subscription to tracking service. BUT all this is a mute point because any tracking will only be limited to the battery life which is very poor.

  • TK 102b Tracker

Got one of these a couple of weeks ago, set up the sim and got it working with sending me its location when asked by text i.e. the GPS google reference. However, the instructions are not straightforward for those who don't know about mobile sims "APN'S" etc . They are also written small so had to use magnifying glass to read. I suspect I can use the GPRS to somehow track the Tracker without texting. The instructions are not clear to me so have not been able to sort that yet. I shall see what You-tube has to offer in hat respect. Lastly it does not come with the ability to be hardwired into my vehicle and charge whilst in there.

  • Very surprised.

When I saw this unit for sale and compared the prices of others. I thought. "Oh well you get what you pay for." However I am absolutely amazed at the unit. Once you have bought your sim, set it up and installed it in the Tracker. It works absolutely fine. I was amazed at it's accuracy. I have tried it out at over 10 different places and as long as you have your iphone switched on to 'Roaming' It will tell you where your car, wife, mother, or dog is. I like it so much as it can be used for anything at all. If I had a Caravan I would use 2 of them, just in case one was found. I will heartily recommend it. A best buy in my estimation.

  • Accurate gps for car/motorcycle

Quite accurate gps, shame there is no backup battery. Also get low battery warning text from it when the battery is full twice during the night, can get annoying. The unit isn't a sealed unit so be careful if installing it on a motorcycle. There is also no on and off switch like displayed on the photos and mentioned in the instructions. Also use a giffgaff sim as EE, asda mobile etc don't work with a 2g network device like this. The 5 pound a month goody bag is ample. All in all a great device for the price.. Go and buy one.

  • Nice little tracker

Nice cheap little tracker. Instructions are not easy to read being in pigeon English but I managed to figure it out. Chinese made I'm guessing but I would recommend it. It does what it says on the tin. Once you put in a SIM card and activate the unit all you need to do is text it and it sends you back a text with a link to Google maps. Brilliant! No idea how long battery lasts mind.

  • Not a genuine rewire tk102

I purchased this on the back of it been an original Rewire tk102, I had loads of set up problems and eventually called rewire for assistance who when I told them the imei number they said it wasn't one of theirs, anyhow they asked me to leave it with them and they had sorted it within an hour by sending various commands to it and changing the imei. The unit i purchased will work and send you a txt etc but if you want to use it on RewireGps site you will have problems.

  • Does the job.

This fits nicely in the motorbike and paired with a £5p/m Giffgaff SIM it works well . Just call it and a text is returned with Google maps coordinates. For the price it is cheap and basic. Downsides are it needs charging every 5-7 days, not a real problem. And the instructions print is very small . For what you get the price is good and if I can set it up anyone can. All I ask are bigger print instructions.

  • TK102 GPS Tracker.

I have had this unit for two weeks now and it has performed perfectly. Setting up the device is simple and only requires you to obtain a SIM card that is 2G compatible. I personally went with Vodafone as I already had a pay monthly plan with them. The battery must be fully charged for a good 8 hours for the first time use after that it only takes an hour if that to fully charge it. This is important as when I first charged it via the computer usb port it didn't seem to get a full charge and consequently the battery life was quite poor. I charged mine via the car outlet socket in conjunction with a 12-5v adapter. The difference in battery life was night and day. After 12 hours normal use the battery is still at 80% after performing the proper charging process. The unit has proven to be 100% reliable so far and executes all the available functions perfectly. There are several useful funcrtion other than just locating your car. For example it can alert you when your car is moved beyond 200m or it can continuously track your car if it's stolen simply by issuing a simple command by text message. The monitor function does work which allows you to tell the device to listen to the surrounding environment where it is located. However the quality of the audio is not great but the I would not expect it to be given the low cost of the unit. The actual construction of the unit is good and as I'm an electronics eng I couldn't resist checking the quality of the pcb inside it. It's actually very good and for a £14.00 unit pleasantly surprising. I would have no issues recommending this product at all and have indeed shown it to a few work colleagues who have children and they are interested in it for peace of mind. So as I said if you do purchase it make sure that battery is properly charged and it should perform faultlessy.

  • Tk102 gps tracker

Brought this item a while ago, was unsure of a few things and the seller helped, excellent instructions in English, and very easy to use, especially like the comand where it will notify you if tracker moves or suffers shock, Good quality item for price.
