    Usual superior Trend quality

    A demonstration of why humans created brands, literally a short cut to finding and maintaining a high quality object. A superbly made set of three sprung pilot drills. Makes hinge sinking much easier, however, as delivered, they don’t drill full depth, so if you want to use a smaller drill to avoid splitting, you’ll need to use a longer drill bit in the pilot, as a follow up. Every piece of Trend tooling I have ever bought, has proven to be top quality. When I discovered that spring loaded pilot drills existed, i immediately searched for Trend on Ebay, very happy that they make them and that they are so cheap. Superb, will last your entire career.

    Very useful addition to the toolbox

    If you fit hinges on a regular basis, these are definitely worth purchasing. Perfectly centred holes every time. Yes, you to need to clear the swarf occasionally to ensure the bit retracts back into the guide shaft fully, but it's just something to be aware of rather than poor design IMO.

    Excellent top quality pieces of kit

    I chose these because Trend has a reputation for quality (their router bits are probably the best there are). I bought them for a specific job extracting a sheered bolt on an original Wassily chair from the 1970's. These turned out to be perfect for the job for centering a cobalt drill bit to drill out the bolt. Since then I have used these for two other jobs requiring centered holes and I don't quite know how I have lived without them up to now. Excellent pieces of kit.

    Another good Trend product

    Good set good quality and fair price. Wish they would include the smallest 2.00mm drill in this set which you can only get in a more expensive set with items I don't need.

    Simple and handy

    Very simple but really handy tool, gives you perfect screw holes for your hinge screws. Not that it’s particularly difficult to start screws but anything that makes things a bit easier is good for me
