EASY MOTOR UPGRADE FOR A 15 YEAR OLD MT

dug the old King blackfoot out of the cupboard and wanted to get a little more out of it, so did a few easy upgrades. threw this on with a Tamiya TBLE-02S ESC to get rid of the old MSC. Works really well, heaps more power over the standard silver can, but while still being controllable. i would recommend locking the rear diff on RWD truck, other wise it just spins the inside tyre and when exiting a corner. pops wheelie from standing on dry surfaces. does doughnuts on dry bitumen. can do some fun drifting in the wet/loose surfaces. the motor (and my driving style) does put the ESC into overheat mode after about 10-15 mins of all out thrashing, motor gets warm / hot - still can touch it. i am adding ESC & motor cooling so we will see if that helps. overall decent cheap upgrade for an old ...

    • Great little hop up motor option for my sons RC πŸ‘

This is an affordable worthwhile hop up option for any RC car using Tamiya’s standard silver can 540 motor. Straight swap and off you go πŸ‘

Made a real difference to my Tamiya Rough rider. Really fast motor. I have an original Rough rider so the motor was to big in the gearbox casing. About an hour with a Dremel grinder sorted it out.
