A really lovely tale
I read this to my own children and it is now being enjoyed by my grandson. Beware that a beautifully illustrated picture book about 30 pages long is a very much abridged version of this 100 pages plus version and loses much of the whit and charm

Loved by young and old alike.
Read this book when I was a child and bought to read with my children, they both loved it as much as I did at their age and loved the trip back down memory Lane. Would highly recommend to anyone with children a real fab story and touches on being afraid of the dark and why not to be (as a child never really noticed as an adult can pick up the relevance).
