Product Information

Pyjamas, love, singing and labour union versus management conflicts create the colourful basis of 'The Pajama Game', based on the Broadway musical. Chock-full of musical numbers and romantic subplots, the real story is the seven-and-a-half-cents-per-hour raise the pyjama factory workers are demanding to keep their salaries comparable with other garment workers' pay. Sid, the new superintendent of the factory, pushes both himself and the workers hard in order to prove himself to the owner, but a visit by the union grievances committee in the form of lovely but tough Babe brings out his softer, romantic side. Despite their love, Babe warns Sid that the union-management turmoil will cause problems for them too, and Sid has to juggle his job, his heart, and his conscience to find a solution that will solve everything.

    THE PAJAMA GAME

    The song 'I'm not at all in love' from the Pajama Game came on the radio - I remembered seeing the film when I was a child and that I'd loved it. I did a search, bought the dvd and yes, I still love it :o)

    classic movie

    A brilliant musical starring Doris Day, one of the great actresses of 1960s. She has also a great voice and you can hear it in this original movie. I'm italian and i buy this DVD because the movie has also the italian language. I didn't know that Doris Day doing this movie before i saw it in Ebay because in Italy it's a rare movie. I love Doris Day movies and i decided buy this DVD to complete my collection. It's a beautiful comedy to see and see again.
