Book arrived well packed and fast. This book is one of the best love stories ever written. It is thrilling as some of it is set against the background of the Trojan War. The author is a Classicist and knows her stuff and her writing styles is second to none. I cannot recommend this book enough.

Excellent retelling of the myth of Achilles and Patroculus. A great love story. I read Circe first and this is just as compelling. Achilles is painted in alot kinder light than many accounts conidering his bloody career and his treatment of Hector's corpse. Beautifully produced book jacket too. If you enjoy it please try Pat Barker's Silence of the Girls for the female perspective.
