The advice in this book, and the training guides, are all very good. It's very American though, lots of unnecessary and at times annoying and childish comments and hutzpah. A bit patronising in that respect. What really let's this book down though, is the quality of the illustrations. They are well chosen and well posed, showing different motives and blocks, but the pictures in the book are too small, and are very poorly printed in black and white. They need to be twice as big, and very much better printed. B&W would be ok if the quality were good. Overs then, worth buying for a beginner, because the content is good if you overlook the American language, but be prepared to squint at the illustrations.
