    Lovely book. Unusually short though. Simply written - simple words - a 10 year old could probably read it. But deep, heartfelt and a beautiful tale with a great heart / moral but without feeling at ALL preachy. I’ll look at this writer again!

    I read this as a child and saw the wonderful movie, when I found out that my wife had never read it I bought it for her, of course she loved it. It should be law that people have to read a list of books before they are 30, if I wrote the list, this book would be on it.
