Bought this superb bike rack on eBay at a good price. Very easy to assemble and fit to my tow ball. The tow ball clamp does need a lot of pressure to secure it, which wasn’t clear in the instructions, but once done you won’t forget in future. Very sturdy construction and simple to fit the bikes on. No movement once everything tightened. Also the locking system means you can walk away for a short while without fear of theft. The tilt action gives quick access to the rear hatch and locks back in place with a satisfying clunk. Very happy customer.

I’ve only had the bike rack for a few weeks but I’m really pleased with it. The design is first class. Even storing the rack when not in use has been considered. Its strengths: 1. It fits easily onto the tow ball. 2. The number plate and lights are are an integral part of the system. All you have to do is plug it into the cars electrics. 3. It is so easy to mount the bikes onto the rack and so much easier and safer than my previous rack, which required me to lift the bike onto the roof of the car. 4. The wheel ties work effectively and the ratchet system of tightening them gives confidence the bikes will remain securely tied on. 5. The security of the bikes and the rack is effective. 6. The bike rack snd bikes can easily be tilted backwards to gain access to the boot of the car. There are three potential issues which need to be considered: 1. How close to the cars exhaust pipe(s) will the cycle tyres be? If they’re too close then damage to the tyres can occur. 2. If you’re putting two bikes onto the rack it’s worth having a practice to see which is better to go on the inside. The instructions say the heavier bike should be the one on the inside but if there isn’t an appreciable distance between them then size might matter more than weight. There is an arm to hold each bike frame to the rack. The cross bar is the obvious place to use. However, It might be difficult to use the crossbar for both bikes, particularly if they are the same size, and another part of the frame may be needed for one of them. 3. It is not possible to use the rack when using a caravan or trailer. This is a problem for me, though it is overcome by putting the bikes on the car roof or inside the caravan whilst in transit. All in all this is a great rack and I look forward to many years of use with it. Read full review

The rack was easy to assemble, and fit to the car. Bikes are carried with little effort, I often carry an e road bike and was able to with this rack, if you were carrying two e mountain bikes, the weight would exceed the capability of this rack. It is expensive but if you want the best it comes at a premium price. I also love the way the bikes lock onto the rack, and the rack locks to the tow bar. Great product.

I bought this bike rack second-hand but hardly used and well looked after. However, owing to life's pressures I have not yet had the opportunity to use it. Having said that, this Thule product is cleverly designed and of very good quality, and I have little doubt that when I am at last able to put it to use it will berform well. I'm very pleased indeed to have been able to buy it
