It is a light plastic, reasonable for the price. The screws to attach it to the vase are really good and easy to adjust, much better than the previous one. Not sure if will last, just time will say it.

The overall performance of this seat is good. The model I ordered had expanding rubber fixing points that expanded in the hole of the porcelain pan. I was apprehensive about this fitting as i was replacing a nut and bolt style of fixing seat to pan. I have found this fitting to be excellant, the support post when fitted to the pan are absolutely rigid. The shape of seat is also very good and an exact match to what was originally fitted and I do like the soft close feature that works very well. What I was dissapointed was in was the quality of the plastic used to make the seat. It is not a rigid hard plastic and as a consequence when seat is mounted on pillars there is movement on the seat due to the flexing in the plastic seat, hence I would not class as Heavy Duty. The seat that was removed was a hard rigid plastic, this is more a nylon, softer plasticRead full review

Have struggled to get a decent D shaped toilet seat of any quality. I bought this as it said heavy duty with top fixings (D shaped toilets are a nightmare to get a decent fixing). I wouldn't call this heavy duty but it's OK for the price I paid. The top fixings just did not work! the seat has a release feature for easy cleaning which is handy but the minute you take the seat off the top fixings just come off with it. Ended up using my own bolts and washers on it to get a decent fix, even then it remains a little wobbly and will probably need tightening on a regular basis. It looks OK and it wasn't expensive but I certainly wouldn't recommend it.

For £15 delivered one can’t be surprised at the quality of the seat; the moulding is a little rough, the seat is very lightweight, the posts that fit into the seat itself are a bit slack making the seat move a little when the seat is raised and lowered plus the fixings to the toilet itself require some fettling to become fully secure (I used some additional rubber washers and silicone sealant). It doesn’t seem so bad now it’s fitted but time will tell whether it’ll last 11 years like the last one. Again, for £15 and little extra effort with the fitting it’s definitely worth a go

By including the "heavy duty" phrase in this description you are misleading people. The toilet seat is made of cheap plastic, it reminds me of public toilets. Wobly design, nothing to do with "heavy duty". It doesn't open fully and the way it closes is horrible - sometimes closing softly, sometimes it just goes down and sometimes it doesn't close at all, it has to be pushed manually to be closed. Sorry for saying that but I am not happy at all. You should remove "luxury" and "heavy duty" from the product description because it is just funny - this product is far from good quality and this description makes me laugh 🤣
