Hard drives come in both internal and external forms and the two most common types are HDD and SATA. The Toshiba MK556GSX is an internal HDD hard drive designed solely for the PC. This Toshiba internal hard drive offers an ample amount of space with a 160 GB maximum capacity. Even with a large operating system, 160 GB on a Toshiba hard drive is still enough room to store many programs, files, photos and other items. The Toshiba MK556GSX spins at speeds of 5400 RPMs and is roughly 2.5 inches (6.3 centimetres) in size. The Toshiba internal hard drive boasts only a PC platform, as it is not available to Mac users at this time. There is an 8 MB buffer with the Toshiba MK556GSX and it has an ATA/ATAP1-8, SAS, SATA I and SATA II interface.

Works well and sorted problem
The HDD was an ideal replacement for a damaged original with easy instruction and to get functioning and performs well with no issues. Being preinstalled with OS meant no time required to download or configure the drive and was excellent value for money. Company is a business so confident in them knowing what they supply and resolving any issue that may arise.

Ebay have asked me to write a review for this purchase. Nothing I write here is meant to be criticism of the seller I purchased this from. Why did I buy this product? I bought a second hand Toshiba laptop which had had the original HDD destroyed. What do you like and dislike about this product? The fact I like most about this is that it works and ergo I do not dislike anything about it. How does this product compare to others? This product is exactly the same as any other Toshiba MK55GSX 160 GB,Internal,5400 RPM,6.35 cm (2.5") (MK1655GSX) Hard Drive apart from the possibility that whilst this one works, others may not. However it does not compare favourably with a 10 Mb Hdd which was what I started playing with 20 years or so ago
