Excellent product, 1st class prints, just let down by a sketchy User Manual
A very well built little printer, said to be better quality than it's more expensive, upgraded replacement the Photon S. Save your money, and buy this one. The only thing that lets it down is the User Manual supplied with the printer. It misses out vital information to get you started and if it also had a few more tips and suggestions it could have saved me a lot of wasted time. There is excellent information out there on the internet, and one site in particular excels. Search for github Photonsters anycubic-photon If Anycubic just mentioned site this in their literature, all would be well. To me it made the difference between prints and no prints. Their email support system responded quickly and efficiently, but the site above gave me all my answers. Having said that, once it is up and running the print quality is first class. Comparable to much more expensive hi-end machines. At the price, well worth the initial trouble. At £19 for 500ml or resin, it is also cheap to run.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Crazy detail but a bit messy
After a bit of a learning curve (I'm pretty experienced with FDM and went into it a bit too confidently!), I'm now printing heroforge minis, other statue things and even starting to design my own bits like keycaps, all with insane detail! It's a bit smelly while it's printing (choose your resin carefully, some are worse than others) but OK if it's in the garage with ventilation. The cleanup is messy and involves isopropyl alcohol, gloves and UV lamps, so make sure you know what you're getting into! Despite all the mess and the smell I'm still a big fan, there's no FDM printer that I know of that can match this detail.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great affordable 3D printer
Quick and easy to get started, but to realize its full potential it takes a little bit of time to optimist your layouts (as with any 3D printing). The more experienced you get, the smarter you can get with supports and finish. The quality of finish is entirely up to the detail you have modeled and your layer resolution. But as with all designs and tolerancing, why print 0.05 layers if your part only needs 0.1 You print time is directly relative to resolution and print height, so you can fill your build plate and there will be no impact on your print time. It will only increase the taller the print height and the finer the steps. Oh and of course what the recommended cure time per layer is for your resin. The only restriction is the size, but for the price its amazing, if you need to print bigger components, you can either break down your model into smaller sections to print and assemble later, or upgrade to the larger machine.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
