    Fantastic product.. saved me a fortune

    I had two dead key fobs with years. the main dealer told me to replace them would be in excess of €150 each before re coding them so they would work correctly. The replacement battery was soldered in place and now my key fobs work perfectly. couldnt be happier

    Mine didn’t work but it might have been my fault

    I regard myself as reasonably good at diy, and after looking at advice on the internet on how to replace the battery I started the task. I found it easy to get the old one out, but not so easy to put the new one in. At the end of the day it didn’t work so I’ve invested in a new fob which I hope to get programmed today.

    Quality battery

    If your keyfob only works occasionally from short distances this is what you need. I measured the voltage on the old battery and it stated 3v but the current available from it was next to nothing. Either use de-solder pump or use solder braid to remove all the solder from the original battery then re-solder in the replacement. Keyfob works instantly, repeatedly and from 15M now :)

    Great value.

    I replaced one battery in my disco keyfob and it worked perfectly..however the second key i managed to bodge with bad soldering..now im looking at a costly replacement..i would reccomend an IT .engineer.

    Rechargeable batteries for Discovery 3 keyfob

    You need good eyesight and a very small soldering iron to replace the battery but it's all doable. Saves a fortune on a new keyfob.
