This is an excellent piece of kit. I needed it to cut a thick piece of wood that my other one was not up to doing. As it needed to be shaped. This done the job with no fuss. Do like the way you change the blades on this. So easy to do. It is comfy to use in the hand. Not to heavy. If you are looking for something to cut that extra thickness. This will do the job. Good for the money and amateur operator.
So far, so good. Only used once for cutting a circular table top out of a piece of worktop. Used new blade, not the one supplied, and it did the job in hand. Following the marked line was easy if you follow the blade and not the guide as the blade is set back from the centre guide and so the radius cut would be marginally bigger if you followed the guide. Good first impressions
Good first impressions of this feature packed machine. The variable speed and adjustable pendulum/orbit work well and are things normally associated with much more expensive machines. The laser guide might seem a tad gimicky, but it does actually work quite well so long as you don't use it in bright sunshine. It doesn't seem to be any noisier than any other machine of this I'll and the whole saw feels well balanced and made. The only poor thing of note are the 3 supplied blades which although they work are of inferior quality to more professional type blades such as Bosch etc. Overall a good product which is competitively priced. Ideal for the DIY'er or occasional use, though professionals might have problems with its durability, time will tell I guess.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Pleasure to use
When the item arrived which was earlier than expected i opened the box and removed the saw. The saw looked good and felt solid. On using the saw i found thay it was well balanced and easy to use, it worked smoothly and the laser light guide was a great help allowing me to cut on the line cosistanty - which i had always struggled to do in the past with my old saw which did not have the laser.Overall i would say that in the short time since i receivd the saw it has shown to be good value for moneVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent Tool
Bought after much research and not disappointed. Not too heavy as others have said & with correct choice of blades and settings it easily tackles very fine & course cuts. I’ve owned several jig saws over the years, this one is probably one of the very best. It performs consistently well and does all I require. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this saw. Strong and Heavy Jigsaw
All I had to do to set up was correct the vertical setting with the supplied allen key located on the cable. I have read some reviews where the laser is not correctly aligned but if it wasn't I would just send it back for another. The saw is larger than I expected and very powerful, if required, as the speed is settable with the adjuster at the top. The pendulum works fine. The supplied saws will work ok for a few jobs but I have better Bosch ones on order. The laser is a great addition because all you have to do is keep the end on the the line and push towards the end of the laser or the other side of the plank, there's no need to keep your eye on the front of the jigsaw where the mess collects. You also get a guide fence and two spare brushes. For the occasional DIYer this is great value for money. Given that this level of tool is on the cheap end, the chances of getting one that might be misaligned is higher but I think it's worth sending back for a replacement and taking the risk because this is a well featured tool and the likes of Bosch, Makita etc are well over £100 for these features.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Better than others around the same sort of price. Good weight to it and I like the features it has. Would have got 5 stars if the laser light was accurate and aligned, it’s out a mile and can’t be re-set or ‘tuned’ straight which is disappointing. Great value, not disappointed
Overall solidly made if rather heavy. Has a good rigid baseplate. Cuts wood very well and accurately, however it's a little difficult to see the cut in progress. Having bought a number of inexpensive powertools over time this seems one of the better value ones and the best budget jigsaw I have owned. VERY POWERFUL JIGSAW
This jigsaw has very impressive power and this and the variable pendulum action makes for fast cutting (when required). Not only is the speed controlled by pressure on the trigger, but the maximum speed can also be set by a thumb wheel control. These sophisticated control methods enables precision cutting with a minimum of splinters or chips in delicate materials. The laser cutting line is very useful in overcoming the usual difficulty of seeing precisely where the blade is. This is a very well balanced tool. On maximum speed and maximum pendulum setting, the jigsaw is quite loud and eardefenders would be helpful when using for prolonged periods. The three blades provided have been well selected for general use but for fast cutting of soft timber, a coarser blade might be needed. A very well thought out device and great value. Great for the DIYer's kit
I wasn't expecting it to come with blades and on reflection they shouldnt have bothered. As a good value machine the shine is taken off by blades that would struggle to cut paper. A recommendation of the right blades to buy for a given task would have been more valuable...
