Extremely simple to use and charge. It is reasonably powerful and suitable for the home, not sure about animal hair as I do not have any but long fibres do need cleaning from the brush.. I think a spare changeable battery may help as runtime is limited on full power but the existing battery charges pretty quick. Certainly beats dragging an upright cord vacuum around and makes the stairs and car easy to clean.

I suppose you get what you pay for. It would be a lot better if you could replace the battery. On a full charge you get around 30 mins which is not long enough for me & quite frustrating because you have to wait 4hrs before using it again. Its not possible to replace the battery, so unlike the more expensive cordless vacs you can't have one in use & another on charge. I find it rather heavy to use & have to be very careful with it not to get joint flare ups. It comes with a flexi hoze, but there is no way to attach an extension wand to the end of the hoze, so if you want to get cobwebs from the ceiling for example, you have to lift the whole vacuum to do that, which is impossible for me due to the weight of it. If they only included an extension tube that would fit the hoze I could use that as I do with my corded vac, but they don't even have one as an optional extra as its not compatible with other vax machines that have a round extension wand. On the plus side, with the brush bar attached it does clean quite well & also has a beating action that you can switch on for carpets (I don't have carpets but it does a good job on my 2 door mats) but the suction with the crevice tool is rather poor so I have been using the small brush attachment for smaller spaces. On the whole I would say it is good for quick jobs, when its far more convenient than dragging my big old kirby out, but due to the limitations above, its not going to work for a big home clean.Read full review

This is the first cordless vacuum I have ever bought and I have to say first impressions are more than satisfactory . I have both carpet and hard floors and the Vax deals with both equally efficiently . The vacuum is relatively lightweight and very flexible to turn in tight spaces and fit under tables and sofas and the handheld feature is very welcome when cleaning the stairs. I get I'd say about 2 days usage for a 3 bedroom house clean before needing to re - charge which takes a good 3 to 4 hours . I like the idea of the red warning light which lights up if the brush bar is full of hair or whatever and is not performing to its optimum . The attachment tools which come with the unit are useful to have for all the different tasks they assist with . If I have one slight negative I think the vacuum is fairly noisy specifically when used on brush bar and boost mode , but this would just be incidental in terms of the overall analysis as the unit deserves a 4 out of 5 . Would recommend .Read full review

I love my vac blade because its so easy to use and the suction is good so i cant complain. I use my normal corded vacuum when i first tidy up the house and then my vac blade when my boys make a mess, its easy to just get out and hoover up.

It's cordless to me is a big bonus. I bought it because my corded Vax ( also from Vax Outlet) kept wrapping round my legs which means I can vacuum in half the time.
